Webcam networks have experienced rapid growth and extreme revenues over the past few years. That success has prompted many less reliable companies and individuals to jump on board and setup their own network. Unfortunately that has meant that potential models and affiliates must be careful who they choose to work with.
Our experience has led us to exclude the following sites due to reliability issues. That being unreliability in a technical capacity, unreliable when it comes time to pay their models and affiliates, or unreliable with respect to promotional practices that jeopardise the reputations of models, affiliates and their own sites.
PussyCash (ImLive)
At the top of the list is PussyCash. We place them here because they have issues when it comes to payment.
In our experience PussyCash will withold payment without good reason, and in violation of their own agreement, for as long as they determine which is usually some arbitrary figure lasting up to six months or more. Why they do this is unknown but excuses are aplenty. They'll even go as far as sending out checks, then close their account and start up with another bank, all done after you've banked the check but not had it cleared. The result being that you'll end up paying additional charges for the check reversal.
PussyCash operate the ImLive cam network and associated sites. It is our recommendation that you refrain from using that network if you prefer to avoid payment issues.
NeonCams
NeonCams and their affiliate center, NeonDollars, showed great potential when they first started early 2008. However, in our opinion, they concentrated so much on getting a white-label solution finished for their affiliates that the rest of the business gathered dust.
We had promoted model signup with NeonCams for long enough to determine that something is not right there. Of all the models that signed up, not one has achieved the payment threshold.
At the time of writing this article, NeonCams was undergoing a change of ownership. That change resulted in late payments to models and affiliates, and support questions going unanswered for weeks. Many support tickets require an answer to this day and we have outstanding support tickets that will probably never be answered if their support is anything to go by.
If you signup to perform live shows on neoncams, you might just end up wasting time chatting forever in freechat and using precious bandwidth that could otherwise have been diverted to more reliable networks.
NeonCams may improve with the new ownership. For now we have adopted a wait-n-see approach and will not promote them until they have improved their service and reliability. |
