EARNINGS AND PAYMENTS

How much can a webcam performer earn?

There are plenty of webcam performers earning up to $3000 per week. Typically you might earn from a few hundred dollars per week right up to several thousand.... more

Will we have to pay taxes from our earnings?

Yes. You are paid a percentage of the revenue from each private session that you enter. It is your obligation to pay taxes in the country where you reside or where your business is registered and funds deposited.

How soon will I start earning after completing the signup process?

As soon as your application is approved and your age verified, you can login and start performing. That can be as little as a day or two after submitting your application to the cam network. Income could be generated at any moment thereafter... more

When do I get paid?

The most common payment cycle is twice per month. It all depends which networks you are working. Once per month is also common. There is atleast one cam network that doesn't have any payment cycle at all and will allow you to withdraw earnings at any time providing the minimum target is achieved... more

What happens if a member cancels their credit card payment after a show?

Credit card chargeback does occur but not too frequently. When a member disputes a charge or a stolen card was used, then the earnings from that private session will be reversed. The performer, affiliate who sent the traffic, and the cam network all lose the earnings from that sale. The cam network has to pick up the extra charges that the bank adds each time this happens (usually about $35) and fortunately no network passes that additional cost on to its performers.

How much do members spend in private shows with webcam performers?

Typically a new member will spend the minimum amout required. That is about $29.99 but some networks have higher minimum spend amounts. That amount will entertain the member for about 15 minutes. Returning and regular members tend to spend higher amounts because they know that whatever amount that isn't used in today's private session will be used another day. Higher purchases up to $159.99 are common and performers can spend from a few minutes to hours with a single member in private chat. In general, members might spend a few hundred dollars per month and some will spend thousands in a month. New members will often have a frenzy of privates soon after joining a network, and then settle down to a more regular return maybe twice a month for a year or two. There is good long-term earnings as well as substantial initial earnings from each new member.

PERFORMER STARTUP

Who becomes a webcam performer?

Male, female, and transgendered people from all walks of life that are aged 18 years or more at the time of registration...more

What do I need to get started?

Computer, webcam, high speed internet connectionand modem. Chances are you already have these. In addition to that you will need a performer account at one or more cam networks... more

How can I get started right now?

There is no shortcut in the registration process but overall the entire registration takes a  minute to complete the online form, maybe five more minutes to scan and fax your age verification documents, and then a day or two for the application to be processed and age verified. After that, you can login immediately and start making money... more.

Which cam networks are the best to signup with?

Livejasmin and Cameraboys belong to the same network where performers find a massive membership that are actively spending all the time. If you are intending to signup to just one cam network then Livejasmin or Cameraboys would be the best network to choose... more.

Are there any cam networks to avoid?

Until there are further improvements to their service, both PussyCash and NeonCams are to be avoided... more.

Where can I buy the a computer and webcam for this job?

There are many places online that sell computers and webcams. We have an association with onSale who sell discounted computers and peripherals. onSale - Great Prices on your Favorite Electronics

What will I be expected to do in private?

Simply put, you will probably need to strip and provide a show that includes sexual gratification at some level. There are some members that just prefer to talk and don't mind paying to sit and chat for a while, but the other 1000% of members want to see you performing naked... more.

What are the best countries to promote myself in?

Usually webcam performers leave the promotion up to the affiliates who collectively build thousands of websites that promote all performers on the network. However, if you wish to promote your chatroom then the best countries to target have been: United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and United States of America. Since the global recession has taken effect, the U.S. has become a lesser source of income but still ranks as one of the better countries to promote webcams. Any Western European country is a good place to start your campaign.

Can I register a studio?

Of course you can. Webcam networks love studios with active models... Studio Registration.

Is performing on webcam safe?

In general it is very safe providing that you do not disclose any personal detail that might identify who you are or where you live. That includes telephone numbers and messenger services such as your msn or yahoo id. It is a breach of your contract to make such disclosures and could put you at risk. Don't do it. If a telephone number is asked for, provide the network assigned mobile url instead so that you get credited for the phone sale.
