Starting out as a webcam performer involves some very simple steps. Follow the steps outlined in our 'Getting Started Guide' and you'll soon be a logged on, performing, and earning good income with flexable hours, and all from the comfort of your own home.

Step 1.

Are you 18 years of age or older? If you answered YES, then great, you can perform on webcam. If you are a minor less than 18 years of age, please wait until you are legally an adult (18 years of age for most countries).

Step 2.

You'll need the following items in order to connect to the network and broadcast your video feed:

• Modern desktop computer or laptop computer with sufficient RAM to process live video (1GB RAM should be plenty although less does work).
• Webcam or digital camera capable of acting as a webcam with a minimum pixel resolution of 1 megapixel.
• High speed ADSL broadband internet connection and ADSL modem.
• Optional access to a scanner/photocopier and fax machine for duplicating age verification documents (your local copy service or library may be able to help).
• Optional camsplitter software.

Step 3.

Once you have the necessary equipment, register with two or three cam networks. Depending on your gender, you might like to start with Livejasmin or Cameraboys. That will ensure that you start working with a cam network that has an excellent payment record and one that is flooded with members seeking live sex shows.

Choose a performer name that is memorable when registering. Networks do not sort performers alphabetically so there is no advantage choosing a name that starts with 000000....!

Step 4.

To complete the registration you will need to copy the required age verification documents (as specified during registration) and either fax them to the network office or mail them by postal service. Obviously postal service means your registration will not be completed for as long as it takes the webcam network to receive your documents in the mail. Do not send original documents, these will not be returned.

Step 5.

While waiting for your application to be processed and approved, organise your work space so that you are ready to begin work and have privacy. Take some time to create an atmosphere that is appealing to viewers and at the same time is comfortable and relaxing for you.

Step 6.

At this point your work environment is comfortable and prepared, your computer equipment is setup and software installed, online  applications to register at webcam networks have been completed with age verification documents delivered to the network office. Great!

All you need to do is wait for email confirmation that your application has been accepted and then login using the username and password that you chose during registration.

Once online, allow network access to your webcam and you'll be live broadcasting to the world.

Step 7.

There are several main sites that you can broadcast to on each cam network. For instance, if you signed up with Livejasmin, the one broadcast to their network will usually be simultaneously broadcast to Livejasmin, myCams, LivePrivates, and joyourself.

Depending on the network, you'll either have one main profile to edit or a profile for each of the sites on the network. In either case, you'll need to complete at least one profile page so that your profile can be found in a search of each site. When you entertain a member, they'll most likely want to find you again. Thats where your profile details become important.

Upload a minimum of one recent and sexy photo to your profile.

If you've followed the 7 steps above then you're now an active webcam performer.
